Future Guards School Holiday Programme

Do you have a child aged 11-15 that loves the pool, is keen to learn some new skills and have fun?

These school holidays we’re launching our Future Guards Programme – a fun and practical three-day course for 11–15-year-olds at Coastlands Aquatic Centre.

Over the course, rangatahi (young people) will build real water safety skills, from first aid, survival techniques, and safe rescues to boat safety and hazard spotting. 

The programme also includes a Heartbeat CPR course from Wellington Free Ambulance. Plus, there’ll be time to enjoy the SPLASH! inflatables and Te Manu Rere (Coastlands Aquatic Centre's flying fox).

Programme dates and times:

• Week 1 - 11–13-year-olds
  8.30am-3.30pm, Tuesday 23-Thursday 25 September
• Week 2 - 14–15-year-olds
  8.30am-3.30pm, Tuesday 30 September-Thursday 2 October

Cost: $120 for the full three days
Bring your own packed lunch and morning tea.
